Let Parents Pay Fees in Instalments with Their Credit Card

Parents pay the fee by credit card on the MyBola payment page. Their own bank then lets them spread it over monthly instalments. Your academy gets the full amount at once, and the bank collects the monthly payments.

Checked 20 October 2026, from each bank's own website. The instalment plan is between the parent and their bank: MyBola does not lend money, and each bank decides whom it approves.

Why It Helps Your Academy

Paid in full, at once

The card payment is a normal online payment. The bill turns paid, the receipt is sent by itself, and Stripe pays the money out to your bank.

No chasing, no risk

The bank collects the monthly instalments from the parent. If a parent misses one, that is between them and their bank, not your academy.

Bigger fees feel smaller

Term fees, yearly fees and registration packages are easier to say yes to when parents can spread them. A bank transfer cannot be spread this way.

For Parents: How to Spread a Fee

You arrange the instalments with your own bank, after you pay. It takes a few minutes in your bank's app.

Pay by credit card

Open the payment link from your academy and pay the full fee with your credit card. FPX and GrabPay cannot be changed into instalments.

Wait for it to show

After 1 to 3 days the payment shows on your card. Then open your bank's app, or call your bank.

Choose instalments

Pick the payment and the number of months. Apply before your card's statement date. The bank shows its charge before you confirm.

Banks with Instalment Plans

Most Malaysian banks let the main cardholder change a card payment into monthly instalments. Rates and offers change often, so open your bank's page for today's rate before you apply.

Questions Owners and Parents Ask

Does MyBola lend the money?

No. MyBola takes a normal card payment for your academy. The instalment plan is between the parent and their own bank, and the bank sets its charges.

What if the parent's bank says no?

The payment stays a normal card purchase, and the parent pays their card bill as usual. Your academy is paid in full either way.

Is there a lowest amount?

Most banks need RM500 or more in one payment, and some need RM1,000. A monthly fee below that cannot be converted, but a term or yearly fee often can.

When must the parent apply?

After the payment shows on the card, usually 1 to 3 days, and before the card's statement date. Each bank's page gives its exact window.

Can a parent pay by FPX or bank transfer and still get instalments?

No. Banks offer instalments only on credit card purchases. FPX, bank transfer and DuitNow QR take the money straight from a bank account.

What does it cost my academy?

The same as any online payment: MyBola's 5% plus Stripe's fee of 3% + RM1. There is no extra fee for instalments, because the bank arranges them. Cash you record yourself is free.

Do banks accept academy fees for instalments?

None of the banks we checked excludes education or academy fees, and some name education as an example. Each bank still decides each payment, so the parent should check with their bank.

Which academies can offer this?

Sports academies on the MyBola system, today. For education centres and businesses, the MyBola system is coming soon.
